Anyone else playing? I picked it up this weekend and I can't
put it down.
Seriously, I have it paused as I'm typing this.
And Talim got cuter.
Thoughts?

Since it's a PS2 exclusive, it doesn't interest me. Why they kept it on PS2 is beyond me. The PS2 version of SCII was by far the worst. (Link FTW ) But I digress... 3D fighters have never really been my favorite. Old school 2D is where it's at. I have the SFII Anniversary Collection and it's easily the most fun I have with fighting games.

PS2 has the best controller to handle fighting games. After playing SC2 on all systems I was convinced of this because it was the only one that truely felt "right."

Well that at least I can agree with. Playing fighting games with the 'Cube controller can be a pretty miserable experience.

SC3 is definately the best in the series in my opinion; I'd definately recommend at least renting it to check it out.

I'll be buying it sometime. Loved RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOin' people up with Cervantes, Nightmare, or Talim in Soul Calibur II. Woot for pirates, people with huge metal things, and people who are wicked fast and stuff.
I adore fighting games, they're the only reason I buy consoles.

BTW resident evil 4 is one fo the best games i've played...not too long, but it has alot of replayability valule(the games still the same, u can just use better and more stuff, not countin unlockable minigames and costume...its also still fun to play teh 3rd time around...tho u can pretty much predict major events and the like)

If theres one thing that i have wanted to do in a zombie game, it would be the spastic use of a sword or lightsaber against hordes of zomibes.

Sweet, GW fans are Soul Calibur fans too.
Its taking a bit of time in practice to learn the AI. (its punishing) but..because of it my Raphael is getting pretty good at mixing and timing attacks. I didnt use him much in SC2 but I like the twist they put on him in SC3, plus I dont see many people picking him up.
To many characters to learn.
Thinking of relearnin Ivy or Yunsoeng or just going to a new character like Zasalamel, who looks and fights much better than I though he would.
I wish this game was online. Hopefully, whatever they do for SC4 they will think about linking the competitors together better.
Whatever all the other fluff is in SC3 (most of it unneccassary imo) the VS. and character design/balance is still tops compared to any other fighting game.

Some of the costumes are nice, but its hit and miss as always according to your personal taste. (what did they do that to astaroth for?..he was find from SC1)
Anyhow, Maxi has a different version of his blonde haired look. But it also as a color editor so you can have a blue haired maxi if you like.

Well if it's because she's grossly overpowered in SCII hate no more.
Her attack strength is next to nothing now.
That and Sigfried/Mitsurugi/Nightmare/Zassalamel/Abyss just hit for
UTTER GULLSHIT AMOUNTS.
I'll get them....

Talim all the way, and I think, in fact, she got much uglier, from what I've seen. I've been itching to pick the game up, and in fact, on my run to Target in about 10 minutes to buy a sheet for a ghetto ghost halloween costume, I may pick it up!
